The Observer Feature

A Life Beyond – When Art Reflects the Light of the Afterlife – The Sarasota Observer tells the story behind Fabio Dal Boni’s art on aluminum.

In November 2023, the Sarasota Observer published a feature by journalist Ian Swaby that retraced the origins of my artistic rebirth.
After surviving a sudden heart attack and near-death experience, I set out to capture the colors and energy of that otherworldly light — and found my perfect medium in aluminum.

Artist Fabio Dal Boni standing in his Sarasota gallery beside his luminous aluminum artworks, including the blue abstract painting “Dance of the Angels,” featured in the Sarasota Observer.

Aluminum reflects, vibrates, and breathes.
Each artwork begins as a photograph and transforms into a painting through a high-temperature sublimation process, infusing pigments into metal.
It’s a way to bring to Earth the same transparency and purity I once experienced beyond it.

As the Observer wrote:

“He’s very happy that he found this medium with aluminum, and people love what he does.”

Through this medium, I continue to chase that serenity — the silent, celestial energy that spoke to me in Heaven.
Every painting is a reminder to value time, to see the extraordinary within the ordinary, and to live inspired by beauty every day.
